Accessibility
A student success platform that some students cannot use is not a student success platform. Here is where we conform, where we currently do not, and how to tell us about a barrier.
Our commitment
We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA across the website and the platform. We test with keyboard-only navigation, with NVDA on Windows and VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, and at 200% zoom and 400% text-only zoom.
This statement is a self-assessment. We have not yet commissioned an independent audit, and we say so rather than implying certification we do not hold.
What conforms today
- All text meets AA contrast against its background; we verify this programmatically on every page before release.
- Every page has one
h1and no skipped heading levels, so screen-reader navigation by heading works. - All interactive controls are reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
- No page requires horizontal scrolling at 320 CSS pixels wide.
- Every image has an alt attribute; decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
- Motion respects
prefers-reduced-motion. - Data tables use proper header cells and scope attributes.
Known gaps
Stated plainly, with our current position on each.
- Charts in research papers are inline SVG with an accessible label describing the finding, but not a full data table equivalent. We are adding tabular alternatives; the underlying data is available on request in the meantime.
- The self-service portal has not been audited to the same standard as this site. Remediation is in progress and we will publish the result; in the meantime, tell us about a barrier and we will provide the information another way.
- No independent audit. We plan to commission one and will publish the report, including whatever it finds.
- PDF exports from the platform are not yet reliably tagged for screen readers. Use the CSV or HTML export, which are.
Reporting a barrier
If something on this site or in the platform blocks you, write to info@eduplatter.com with the page and what happened. We aim to acknowledge within two working days and to give you a fix or a workaround within ten.
If you are a student at a partner institution, you can also raise it through your institution’s disability services office, and they can escalate to us directly.
Alternatives
Where we cannot yet make something accessible, we will provide the information another way — a data table, a plain-text summary, or a call with a person. Ask and you will get it; you should not have to justify the request.
